 So is the copy functionality within the droid OS completely dependent on the client application and not the OS? I'm constantly amazed/frustrated at how bad and unintuitive this normally routinely performed operation is under the android platform and all applications.
Since I'm about to venture down the path of android SDK development I'll probably experience this first hand, but is it simply accepted that this functionality is this terrible under android? Would seem there should be a pretty standard pluggable library that client applications on the device just "get" when deployed to the OS. If this is so then the service itself would appear to be in pretty poor shape. Either that or I'm missing something entirely when trying to use it, which in itself would be a bad implementation. Shouldn't have to think too much to perform such a routine operation. IPad has it figured out, and it doesn't even have a mouse.
I've pretty much given up on trying to use it at all which makes doing normally simple operations impossible.
