Ok, earlier today I transferred my digital copy of Despicable Me to my Computer.( It was part of the Blu-ray combo, so yes I own it and I'm running Windows 7 64 bit btw) I chose to save the movie as an WMV since the only other option is Itunes. Now since I'm wanting to transfer this to my HTC Evo I began searching for a WMV to MP4 converter. After 2 hours of searching and downloading multiple programs nothing so far has worked. I'm about to rip my hair out as I can't believe how much time I've wasted on something that should be simple. Does anyone know of a program that actually works? Someone please help! My biggest reason for wanting to do this is I'm traveling soon and I wanted to watch this on the way there.

Seems like you didnt search well enough. Handbrake works great, and is free.

And FYI, those digital copies are usually copy protected, so you cant convert them from wmv to another format. They want to to keep it as a wmv. And also, they are usually very low quality. I would highly recommend just ripping the movie directly from the dvd or blu-ray, you will have better control over the quality, and wont have to worry about copy protected files.

So Handbrake worked flawlessly for converting a sample video file that I had but after trying it with the DVD version of Despicable Me, the results were pretty bad. It's extremely choppy making it unwatchable. If you're wondering, I changed the video and audio settings that were suggested for the EVO.
