cost effective internet on the go for tablet

I bought a basic allwinner A13 google android tablet on ebay and I am looking for a cost effective way to have internet on the go all the time. I have wifi at home. The tablet has built in wifi ability with 3g capability if I purchase a dongle? I am new to this so if someone could advise that would be great. I have verizon android phone share plan I think.

It should support most common Huawei and ZTE 3G/4G USB modems. You'd need a CDMA/EV-DO one for Verizon Wireless, and a Verizon data plan for it. Alternatively you should be able to tether using your phone, provided your phone's data-plan allows tethering.
