Hello everyone, as we all know the HTC Desire is a great phone, so great in fact that I am not too pleased about not being able to upgrade from my Hero until January!

I thought I would ask the question and see if I can pay an extra to upgrade early but T-Mobile UK said no, which is fair enough.

What I am wondering now then is that if I buy a Sim-Free HTC Desire and put my sim card in it, will I be able to download the Internet settings and effectively use the internet?

Thank you in advance for any light you can shed on this.

As soon as you put your t-mobile sim in it will just work automatically.

I'm pretty sure TMob keep their Android internet service seperate from their normal Web n Walk service.
I'm sure I've read about it somewhere.

    Hi

As everyone above has said, you can just place your T-Mobile SIM in the SIM Free phone. Out of interest, where do you plan on buying your SIM Free phone from?

I've got the Desire from T-Mobile and it's a wonderful phone but I've also got the Nexus One on order and I would say, if you can stretch the little bit extra, get the Nexus One. BUT, the Desire is a good phone.

    Hi Freude,

Off the top of my head I believe that a place called "Clove Technology" has the cheapest price which is around
