Couple Questions Please. New Android User

Im so used to the ease of the iPhone so I have a few questions.

1. How do i customize the lock screen? Like how do I use the little circles i swipe to unlock the phone?

2. Is juice defender worse for the phone?

3. How come aps keep opening when I never even opened them.

4. How do I get my friends pictures from facebook on my phone that dont have there number on facebook.

2. I haven't used juice defender, some swear by it. I'll let others help you here
