So I was reading about ICS and how some phones by some carriers will have slightly different versions of ICS. Some phones/carriers will have different options, etc.

I was wondering if you can make keyboard shortcuts similar to what the iPhone has. For example, you'd type "omw" and the keyboard will correct lengthen it out to "on my way." Also, why isn't the stock ICS keyboard installed with this phone? Thanks.

Never heard of that feature. But if you want the stock android keyboard download one from the play store
And if you want a keyboard with that feature you can look through the keyboards on the play store as well
