Root Creating my own ROM

I'm getting my head around the kitchen and have a working ROM but I can't get A2SD to sym link to the SD card even though I've included the option in the kitchen. Anyone here know, or know someone who would?

I know nothing of these matters, but could you create the rom sans a2sd, then flash it as an add on to the rom? If that works you can just manually compile with that script in init.d?

Out of interest, you have found that the symlink isn't working by actuallty using the ROM? Nothing like an EXT4 not supported by kernel is it? Whats teh contents of the a2sd Script?

I find xda members pretty strange and very "egomaniacle", noobs over there get almost no help at all!! (not saying you're a noob, Eddy).

It's nothing special at the mo, just a stock 2.29.405.5 base with add-ons (similar to Teppic's). Until I get my head around linux this is all it'll be.

Afterwards I'll start looking into different builds but if I get as involved as I was with WinMo 6.5 ROMS when I had my HD2 I think the missus will kill me!!

Yep, I basically went through the options in the kitchen but A2SD isn't linking to the SD card. I'm going to re-partition it in case (although it's fine on other ROMs). From the kitchen thread on XDA:

Sorted it, was a clash of modules - now up and running so need to make sure it's all correct. Sense is flying along now, tho!

Would be cool if could generate AOSP roms there too. and 2.3 haha. yeah right.

It was the a2sd module and perflock enabler both having 04 at the beginning - seems they should all be individually numbered

Don't know if perflock is working or not but a2SD is so I'm happy for now!! Can finish it off tomorrow
