    Greetings all,

I performed a search, did not find an answer...

Would anyone know if there is a way to edit or cut and paste text from the email applications (from a message in the sent folder or inbox)?

    Thanks!

Hold the Caps button and drag your finger over the text u want and it should highlight in some color (I only know how to do with with the cap button on the qwerty keyboard) and when you release your finger it should copy, then paste it where you want.

If its your own typing you just need to hit the cap button and then highlight but it doesnt automatically copy, you have to hold down and wait for the copy/cut menu to show up.

I found out about this by mistake actually, before that I didnt know you could highlight text.

    Thanks aaron,

I'm able to cut and paste a couple words...

Is there a way to "select all", or a paragraph?

    Thanks again!

Menu - more-select text. Then swipe your finger over all you want copied.

    Thanks again aaron,

Doug, I do not get an option under menu to select text.

I need this for email that I have sent out received. There is no option for editing or cut and paste.

Aaron's suggestion works, but I can only cut a couple words... Maybe I just need more practice.

I'm really surprised at this limited functionality.

    Anyone else?

    Still... The droid rocks!

Menu, more, select text is not an option in the menu in the email application...the only solution is Aaron's.

Menu more select text is the exact same function as what I'm telling him to do, just mine is the keyboard shortcut....it does the same thing. I'm not sure why he can't select more than a few words, I just hold my finger down and it selects all I Drag it over.........

Right but in the gmail app while in a message in the inbox, menu more select text isn't even an option for me, however, holding caps and selecting does work! A function I did not know existed so thanks for the info.
