I'm about to flash this rom to try it out, is it stable and everything work? I'm trying it over the Fresh one because I read that this one has an updater to update to their newest roms, does this prevent it from needing a wipe after an update?

Emrys, can you post your experience with this rom after you try it out. I just read up on it and it looks interesting, but I don't see any comments on people's experience. Thanks.

You guys should definitely check out his roms. He was one of the best developers for the cdma hero. With his next version of dcupdater, it looks like he is going to include some themes along with it, which is awesome. And I can't wait for his dcconfig app that let's you mess around with the settings even more including a2sd and jit. But in regards to his current rom, it runs smooth. Battery life has been a little better too. I typically get 8-10 hrs with the stock rom. With his it increased to 10-12 hrs. Not much but every little bit counts, and I am a very heavy user.

So far everything seems to work, except that it won't work on 4g. It connects and looks like its working, but trying to use the browser and the Market results in saying the network isn't responding or something.

Check over at xda. I believe flipz put out a patch for 4g in one of his threads that will fix 4g.

I installed his new radio and then did the 4g patch, it works great now. Also the battery life is amazing on his ROM, I have no task managers installed nor did I do the underclocking trick with OverclockWidget. I went to sleep with 54% battery life, woke up 8 hours later with 47%, only dropped 7% in 8 hours!

My stock phone only dropped 9% over 8 hours, what were you losing before?

Also can someone comment on the updater built in? This sounds like a winning feature for me as I just want to be able to install a custom ROM and not have to wipe my phone all the time or deal with complicated methods to update. It sounds painless. Just curious to how this compares to other ROMs such as Fresh.

With Fresh, you can easily update through ROM Manager, FYI...
