Help Data turns off when the screen turns off

I remember setting my phone up to do this but I can't find it again... I want to turn it back to normal where 4g stays on all the time, or set it to allow Spotify to use the 4g when the screen is off.

op said 4g. this setting is only for wifi. my thought is juice defender also.

Most battery saving apps do this but it can only be done through an app, its not a stock feature. So it's prolly on in an app somewhere.

Just curious as to why you would want it on all the time being that 4G is the number battery killer. No sense in having it on when the screen is off. Unless your downloading some big ass file which then you can just turn the app off and let 4G stay on.

I just want it to turn on when I have Spotify on... I think I set it up in Juice Defender but I don't know how to allow Spotify to use the connection when the screen is off.

You can try the app Tasker, it let's you do all that.

If you have Juice Defender, there's an option to keep data on while the screen is off.

Under the Status tab, scroll down to Configure apps. Make sure Interactive is enabled (blue box, not grey). Tap configure apps (new screen pops up) > find Spotify and tap the "select" button at the right of that app > keep tapping it until "enabled/screen off" comes up with a green box > hit back, and you're done.

You can do that for any apps that require data to be one while the screen is off.
