Root DD10 Released

when i boot into recovery mode i don't have anything like clearing cache, i only have :
1. reboot system now
2. apply sdcard: update.zip
3. wipe data/factory reset
4. wipe cache partition

when i click apply update.zip it says

"install from sdcard...
finding update package...
opening update package...
verifying update package...
e:signature verification failed
installation aborted.
"

idk what to do? i put those 2 files in the sd card root folder.

You don't have joey's recovery 2.1.3 flashed in. that's the stock recovery.

Maybe delete that file and download again?
How big is the file?
Mine was 127MB. If yours is a different size, you may have a bad file.
Are you placing both files in the root (not in another folder) of your sd?
No reason to give up, this was easier than C14>DD03 and even more worth it. :)

It seems to be 121 MB. I've tried DLing from both the SDX link and the mirror. Then, after running it, when I check the file size on ther SD card, it is 0 bytes.

I finally broke down and installed dd03 2.1 last night and rooted, then saw this thread this morning and installed dd10 before I went to work so I can't really say if it's better or not yet. I can say that everything is working really well. I'm glad I finally did it.

I also followed the instructions in this thread this morning and did the update without even so much as a stutter. I don't see what the big deal is...

Now if uninstalling the sprint apps was so simple... lol

(no really)
