Dedicated Camera Button

    When I first got my droid I changed the dedicated camera button to compose a new text but can not for the life of me remember how I did it
    Can anyone help me change it back

    Did you configure it as a hotkey for Quick Compose in Handcent?

    There's a free app called Button Shortcut hat lets you configure your camera button and search button with any app you want.

    Simple if you are using Handcent. Go to Handcent-menu-settings. Scroll all the way to the bottom (last one) and uncheck the camera shortcut.

    what I would really like to do is get rid of the damn camera button altogether. everytime I use the phone I end up launching the camera. if I want it I'll go fire up the app. I never did see what they put that there for.

    call me a dummy but what is the "search" button?

    ahh the useless button at the bottom. I thought we were talking external side mount.
