Default Security Code??

Just got a new Desire, i want to bar incoming calls and its asking me for a security code, what is it, ive tried all the obvious defaults and they just come up with Network Or Sim error

Well, if by "all the obvious defaults" you mean your SIM PIN and PUK, you probably need to call your operator. There's a "Change password" item; I haven't completed the process but it didn't complain when I entered my SIM PIN on the first screen so that may be it.

When I select "Call barring settings", it goes off into a "reading settings..." screen for a while, this tells the the settings are configured at the tower end, not the handset end.

You need your SIM code for barring.

If you've not set one, Google the default for your network
