Defective desire?

Had my desire a couple of weeks and it has started playing up.

Whenever I try and open any app that uses 3d my screen freezes and the only way to reset the phone is by removing the battery.

I've tried factory resetting the phone but the problem seems to be getting worse. Looks like it will be getting returned on Tuesday.

Anyone experienced anything similar?

What apps?

Apps include:

Google maps (when navigating)
Space physics
Cubed (music player)
Raging thunder 2

I left the battery out all night and still happening so will be sending it back when mobilephones direct open again on tuesday.

Never heard of this problem lol, I thought you meant 3G too. Probably just a strangely defective phone!
