    Hello everyone,

First of all, I love the phone. I pre-ordered and got it on launch day... I've been messing around with it taking pictures since then. Today was the first time I actually opened the pictures taken on my computer, and I was pretty shocked by what I saw:

Even the pictures I took on my first day with the phone looked like that... I just didn't notice til today!

Couple that with a crackling phone speaker and today my headphone jack stopped working... I wonder what's up with this?

Went to a Sprint store and they told me to to go to Radioshack, where I bought the phone. Radioshack told me they don't have any in stock and they have a "waiting list" so they added me to it. I can live with the phone for now but I don't want to get it replace without getting screwed.

    What should I do? Thanks!

Do you have the settings messed up on the camera? That looks like one of the settings being a bit out of whack. I'm not a photo expert to know which one. But I know apps like FxCamera can produce a picture like that buy tweaking things.

As for the headphone jack, that's a hardware issue that should be covered from Sprint if you have the TEP. If not then return it to where ever you bought it when they have good working units in-stock.

That's how the pictures look no matter what settings I use... even tried the default settings button.

To me it looks like a posterize effect. Try going to your camera settings/effects and choose none. Hope it helps. :)

OK I checked that too and it is set to 'none' already. It looks like it has nothing to do with settings.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to get a replacement other than hoping radioshack calls me when they get a shipment?

Have you tried a hard reset? Could be a bug that it is stuck on the effect. Note that hard resets will wipe your phones data (not the SD card, but all apps and settings etc.)

I got mine exchanged at RS no problems at all. They get weekly shipments make sure you tell the Mgr. if they don't get you a phone in say 2 weeks you are going to return it for a refund. The word refund usually gets there attention.

This is good advice, Try it from the key pad key in ##786# then touch the menu key then touch reset on the bottom then when it asks for a password type in 535639 then touch OK your SD card well not be harmed.

Or more easily you can tap Menu > settings > Privacy > Factory data reset

Bumping this up because I'm curious if the hard reset fixed it...

I just did the hard reset... haven't tried the camera yet (it's not very bright outside yet), but my headphone jack started working again! Weird....

Now I just need to see if the crackling speaker and camera were fixed. I'll keep this updated,
