Dell Streak 7 Update......??Support

    Hi

    I have a Dell Streak 7, I know it has been discountinued, but was wondering if anyone knows if there is an update for it? The last one I got, is actually worse than what it had orginally, and I am unsure on how to revert it.

    I have also tried ROOTING it, but i didnt get very far, anyone got any ideas on hwo to ROOT it??

    Dell streak 7. Rooting help.
    I have a t-mobile Streak 7, with orignal froyo 2.2 firmware. I used gingerbreak no problem, quick and easy.

    There is an update available for Honeycomb. I have successfully nudged it along on two different Streaks without any problems. There is a thread here that explains how to initiate the update if it doesn't show up as available in your settings menu.

    Ok so this forced update has deleted my saved data.. I no longer can open my apps. Tried uninstalling & reinstalling them with no success. Not to mention my games such as the Sims Freeplay are no longer installed.. Now I hv a $200 paper weight. Great update

    That's the kind of thing that happens when you refuse to do the research before Modding your device... also called being lazy

    First off isnt this site intened for ppl to share insight & issues we are hving with these devices?
    Second, it would be general politness to either inquire further on ones dilemma or say nothing at all.

    For anyone with any HELPFUL advise or comments, as I said before this update was forced. It gave me no promps to hv the device updated.. I turned it on this morning & everything was gone & the new version was in full swing. None the less, ill more than likey hv to contact my service provider for support.. Just thought id give this forum a shot.

    I'll say it AGAIN, IF you're too lazy to try and fix it yourself then when you send it in, tell them to keep it and get an iPhone. Secondly, you should've had all you data backed up. If you didn't, go look in the mirror and get mad at who you see, not the device nor the way it handled the update

    I realize this thread is old now but if you did not get this fixed PM me. I have the NVFlash files that can recover the device. I thing they will take it back to 2.2.2 at least that should get you up and running.
