I found a guy near me trading his t-mobile N1 with car and desk docks for a Dell Streak (which I have). The question is, is this a good deal? I'll be stuck on EDGE, which I've heard is significantly slower than 3G. That being said, I rarely use the internet outside of wifi range, and my internet use is mostly restricted to RSS feeds, Facebook, and Twitter (so mostly text with some pictures). On the other hand, I think I'll be much happier with the hardware and software. The addition of the docks is very nice, as well.

I'm leaning towards yes, but I wanted to get your opinions.

Well, unless you're going to root it, I wouldn't count on any updates for the Streak. Don't know about much of the other factors like battery life or anything. I'd compare the two truthfully and proceed with caution. I know there are phones out there now like the Vibrant that I thought about getting, but after thinking about it more I decide against it.

I wouldn't count on Gingerbread anytime soon like you would with the Nexus One. I also tried the Hd2 recently and actually prefer the 3.7 inch screen personally as a phone instead of a 4.3 or bigger tablet like device.
