    Hi all.

Today, I finally took the plunge and Rooted / Froyo'd my Desire.

    GREAT!! :D

One small thing. Every time I restart the phone, before that funky, colourful 'x' that comes up, it always displays my original branded Splash screen (Telstra, to be precise.)

I've had a quick look through other threads, but haven't managed to find anything about removing this original splash?

    Thanks in advance,
    Dave.

The splash is coded into the boot up. You would have to install using a generic ruu to remove the branding, which will also remove root and any custom recovery, not to mention all your data.

Of course you could do a nandroid back up first, do the ruu, run unrevoked then restore the nandroid.
