Help Desire wont connect to wifi

Im having problems with my desire trying to connect to my wifim its always connected fine. When i turn wifi on via settings > wireless and networks it will say turning on then connecting, connecting to my network name then disconnected then back to scanning and connecting and it goes in a circle.

I changed the wireless channel and its not made any difference, i have other wireless devices that connect fine. Ive double checked the password is correct. Tried turning the desire off then on again. not sure what else to try, anyone got any ideas ?

Once I had the same issue, then remembered that my router had a MAC list to allow connecting only devices with an approved mac address.

Ok think ive solved the issue or it was 1 of 2 things, i changed the routers channel and i forgot any knowledge of my network and re connected to it making sure i entered the password correctly
