i see a lot of posts about scratches on the DI and about how the glass is not suppose to scratch.I am not a very good picture taker but since i see very few people trying to post scratches,i thought i would try and share.I have had the phone a few months. It certainly does scratch and i wish i had used a screen protector. These are not huge scratches, just nick scratches and they are all over the front.

When you take pictures of something up close, try to use your camera's macro mode. It's usually a little flower icon or something. This lets the camera focus better when you take a picture really close to the lens.

You know, I honestly didn't know that and would always get frustrated when I'd try to take a picture of something up close. Well, now I know. Thank you! :)

Ok thx,i worked at it a little bit, this was the best i could do,3 more pics using macro.
Just wanted to show that the screen does indeed scratch.I don't use a screen protector(obviously!)but i do try and keep it in a pouch/phone holder.I don't feel i abuse my phone, drop it or anything out of the ordinary. These are just from being in my pocket with keys and coins a couple times without the pouch.

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones, I dropped my dinc on some concrete, and I thought for sure I was f***ed. But for some reason, the front is in absolutely perfect condition still, the only thing that happened was the four corners got a little scratced up. not even the back. Compared to what could have happened, I'm glad that's all that happened.

It is very odd the wildly different reports that come in regarding the scratch-resistance (or lack thereof) of the Incredible's screen.

I've had mine since launch. Never used a screen protector (though I do use a silicone case). Throw it in my pocket (by itself, not with keys, etc.) every day. Have dropped it a handful of times. If I take the time to wipe off the fingerprints, it looks like it did the day it came out of the box.

I have a scratch about 2mm long on the bottom 1/4th of my screen. Keys got it one time in my pocket I guess :(

Then again I've dropped it from 3 ft onto the corner of a support on the bottom of this work desk, and I mean RIGHT on the corner of it... directly into my screen... Nothing happened though :D:D
