Well, I was playing with my phone today and I might have made it a faster in a few minutes. This is what I did Home --> Menu ---> Settings ---> Applications ---> Manage Applications. In this menu it shows how much memory each program is using (?), not really sure, but if you click on the program you can clear out the cache and also clear the data of the program. I cleared out all of the data and cache from the programs that I dont use (sprint TV, NFL crap, footprints, etc...). It seems like its running faster, might help for people that have been using the phone for a long time and have a build up of data just sitting there doing nothing? Let me know if this works for anyone else!

Yea youve made it a little faster. Clearing out cache helps alot just like it does for computers.

be careful... some apps don't take kindly to clearing the data... Cache's are safe though.
Routine house keeping goes a long way to keeping things running smooth.

I clear my caches every couple of days, the browser builds up really fast. I think that's why my stock Hero runs better than most people describe on here.

If you don't mind me asking, what apps are bad to clear data out of, that you know of?

Is there an app or widget that clears all the caches automagically?

I found a few free ones, but all require root access.

Yeah, I was a little worried when I did it, so I only cleared out the ones that I dont use. I was half way hoping that it might just delete some of them lol. I just wish there was an easier way to erase the bloatware than rooting. I am 99% computer illiterate and am pretty worried about messing up my phone, and I have a mac. I have no idea if that matters, I guess that just proves my point that I shouldnt do it.
