So I'm not the primary line on a Family Plan, and online it shows the primary line with the NE2 status, but the other lines will just say "Eligible for an upgrade on XX/XX/XXXX". Does anyone know if that will change anything in terms of my upgrading price or any eligibilities for the Incredible?

If you are eligible for an upgrade you get the upgrade price. $299 for the Incredible right now then a $100 rebate. If you are eligible for NE2 you get an additional $50 to $100 off (depends on when your contract started).

Are you eligible for an upgrade after a year on a two year contract?

You're eligible for the upgrade after 1 year where you can get the standard 2 year contract price, 20 months is the NE2 date. However if you do the 1 year upgrade I believe they also charge you a little extra for upgrading early. I think its like $20 or something stupid.

Can NE2 and regular upgrades in family plans be transferred to different lines in the family plan?

No, the time periods are specific to each line/#. What I would do is if I wasn't currently up for an upgrade, just have one of my parents who are eligible, get the phone and then instead activate it for my number.

So you can really get the Incredible for $99 online if you are eligible for NE2? I was under the assumption that NE2 was only $30-$50 now.

It depends. They changed it last year but if you have been under contract since before the previous $50-$100 still applies.

Yes, if you're on a line that has an access cost of $34.99 or higher, you will be eligible for an Early Upgrade at 12 months, which if used in a store, with customer service or telesales will cost you an additional $20 fee over the two year price on a phone, ordering from the VZW online store will let you avoid that $20 fee.

Sort of. You order the phone on a line that's eligible then move it to the line you want it on. No, there's nothing wrong with it. I do it every day for people. :)

Great thanks! I have been in contract for over 2 years so I am assuming that my NE2 should be $100. Can anyone tell me if phone orders use instant rebates or "gift card" rebates?

Phone orders can match the internet price. Not sure if you have to mention the internet price or not.

But will I get a gift card or instant $100 off? I've never done an over-the-phone order and I do NOT want a stupid $100 rebate card.
