    ok question...

I was watching a HTC hero commercial, and they have different backgrounds for each screen, creating a theme for each of the five screens.

I dont know of anyway to do this w/ the droid per se, however is there anyway someone could create 1 background w/ 3 pictures? That way, when you slide from screen to screen, you get 3 different backgrounds.

    Just a thought...

Um...this is not a feature of the Hero. In the commercial they are just trying to convey that you can make the phone look any way you want with you being the millions of people who see the commercial hence the multiple setups. The homescreen on the Hero behaves much like the Droid (except for the fact that the Hero has 7 panes vs. the Droid's 3).

You could paste 3 images side by side into one image, with each individual image being the size of the Droid screen.

The only problem with this would be landscape on the home screen.

Wouldn't work. The images in every mode spill over to the other screens.

At first I thought it could be done the same way but you are correct that they overlap with each transition :(
