Root Disable update

I rooted my cliq xt and the update garbage pops up all the time and I have already downloaded and the installed the update by accident twice now and had to wipe and reflash my phone. Is there a way to disable this update from popping up all together?? If not what the is rsdlite and how would I go about flashing back to stock so I can update the stupid thing and re-root? Thank in advance.
