What are your experiences with Desire using it ouside on the sun or very bright weateher?
Do you have difficulties using the phone outside?

What is the display compared to the iPhone? Is it really THAT much better with iPhone than Desire?

Can someone post his own video of the Desire using it outside on the sun?

It's pretty hard to see the screen in sunlight - but inside it's much better than the iPhone. The BB Bold is also much better than the Phone - it's the screen resolution that is the issue - the iPhone is very grainy by comparison.

I have to disagree with DonaldGreig. The Desire's screen is beautiful indoors, far superior to the iPhone 3G. However, when I compared my Desire with my wife's iphone outside on a bright sunny day (both on auto-brightness), the iPhone was much easier to see; it was almost impossible to use the Desire.

I haven't had too many problems in sunlight, I just use the power widget and knock the brightness up if it's hard to see.

That said, if you leave it on low brightness you won't be able to see anything at all!

I have found it to be pretty much the same with any previous phone that i have had to be honest. I certainly find the screen to be ledgible in direct sunlight.

Can anyone make a video clip by camera of the Desire display on the sun or on the bright day and post it here?

    That would really help.

I turned on my phone to full brightness and in the daylight I could just about see it.

I can't utilize HTC Desire outside since the screen gets crazy or hangs. No solution from Orange or HTC.

If you think the screen is poor on the Desire then compare it side to side with an Iphone.

Then be prepared to be ridiculed.

The difference is unbelievable, you will think it is more than poor when you compare.

I obviously tried this today and even with the brightness right up on the desire and the brightness at its lowest on the Iphone the Iphone wins hands down.

You can use the Iphone quite well outside in the sun where as you will be looking for shade with the desire.

Its totally pants, anyone saying otherwise is kidding them selves tbh.
