Read a post on another site, that say the TM Galaxy Tab doesn't come DivX certified..
According to Samsung and DivX, the Galaxy Tab is a DivX-certified device capable of playing DRM-encoded DivX video. One user is saying that the TM Tab doesn't support this as the other carriers do. Not sure what that actually means?

Would that mean if I upload movies from DivX to the tab I couldn't view them? Or would this be those that I purchase?

Anyone with the TM Tab running into issues playing their own movies? Or is this just purchased one?

I would try VPlayer Alpha. I had M4V files and ASF files that would not play on the Tab until I downloaded this player. It allows pinch to zoom in order to fill the screen on videos that have the wrong aspect ratio. My Incredible would play the M4V file I have on it's stock player but did not allow pinch to zoom or any other way to fill the screen. I would give it a try on your files.
