Help Do I upgrade to 2.3 and how?

I have the new LG Shine (Google). I bought ot last week and I was told that by Telus it has the 2.1 version and I should upgrade to 2.3. I have a few question.

1- should I upgrade the phone?
2- Can I upgrade the phone?
3- if so how?

I found the answer. The Telus rep was wrong, the new OS will get pushed to the phone by Telus when the application is made available for the phone.

As far as I've heard it's getting 2.2, not 2.3. But other than that you are right, as long as they are not pulling our leg about us actually getting the update.

So when exactly are we supposed to get the update? I heard of July.....is that still true?

I heard that they are skipping 2.2 and going directly to 2.3 sometime in the summer.

I have had lg send me 2 new shines cause they r peice o poo....has anyone else had major issues? I know some it is android issues and some is telus issues but I am sick of havin a phone that opperates @ 50% capacity....when I tried lg "customer service" they told me I couldn't contact them directly...the dealer I bought the phonee from for 400.00 told me their warrenty on the phone was 10 minutes talk time NICE.....TELUS JUST TELLS ME THEY WILL GIVE ME A FREE I PHONE IF I SIGN A 3 YR CONRTACT.....I said y would I sing a contract with a company that has no customer service! Man I am leaving telus...messed up!
