Bugs in 2.14.1 not resolved yet, see these links first:

Can anyone shed light on these issues?
Maybe I have a fundamental misunderstanding of the purpose and nature of an Android "Gradle".
For me, a "Gradle" is a packaging utility that pulls together all the SDK source files, the .java and .XML, the .jpep and .mpeg and whatever is going into one compressed, executable package called APK for the smartphone or its AVD equivalent (correct me if I am wrong). I am also under the impression I can write a plug-in for the Gradle, although at the moment, I can't cite an example of what a plug-in would be for a Gradle (can you give me an example?)
When the Google people say a "Gradle" version is incompatible with the A/S version, I was wondering how that could be since the Gradle has packaged all the necessary codes into an APK for execution?
