Do you think it's possible that Verizon's Nexus one will be the Desire?

Think about it. more and more rumors are dropping about the desire prior to verizon's release date of the nexus one. I haven't payed attention to the network banding yet, so I could be taking a shot in the dark here. But The specs are identical, other then the trackball and Sense UI.

Any thoughts or correct me on GSM or CDMA specs of the Desire I missed?

No? The Desire and the N1 are two different phones. Similar specs, but not identical.

Well it was just something that sparked on me while thinking on how the Big Red will lock down the phone or not and Sense UI seems something perfect to do it with.

Doubt Google will let a carrier alter their baby in any way, shape, or form especially since even a N1 with a T-Mobile contract is unlocked. Unlike Motorola with the Brickflop, Google's not in a position where they are so desperate that they'd let a carrier load bloatware onto their phone and remove fastboot oem unlock.
