Help doable or wishful thinking? (EMAIL)

Gmail is great. I use it everyday. Unfortunately I have another email I rely on. I have it forwarded through my gmail. When I want to reply using that address on the phone it wont let me. The only one I can reply with is gmail. I need to be able to reply using the other email...

I have read some on this but can this be done?

K9 mail is a joke and I havent found anything worthwhile. Opinions , ideas?

what is the email server you want to use?

Both the HTC Mail app and K-9 can handle most servers just fine.

This is doable.

1. Sign in to your gmail account on the computer or via your phone's web browser (desktop view).
2. Click Settings then click Account and Import.
3. Edit the "Send as" options to your preferences.

I have a bookmark on one of my home screens so I can toggle this setting as needed.

Or set up HTC mail and don't update automatically just use it to send when needed.

I have done this. Works great on the computer but not on the phone .
