Does anyone know if other screens are available while the droid is in the charging dock?
I havent been able to find anything else about this.

    Thanks!

2.1 has a nicer, more usable dock screen to it. I use the app called Bedside for this chore. I like it a lot.

I use the 2.1 clock also. Which reminds me I need to remove the 2.0.1 alarm clock app.

    I love the 2.1 version :)

One thing I would be seriously interested in is a modded car dock screen...

One with music controls? What would be really cool is when you pop it in the car dock it flips on a google nav, with the possibility to control music and a phone button. :)

No root necessary. That was done in Sweeter Home Preview 2. I technically don't use the cardock app anymore as default. Although I do have access to it, obviously.

"Sweeter Home Preview 2" to be exact. It's not found on the Market yet, as it is still in beta. But this last release is getting pretty close to public-release material. In fact, there are much worse apps on the Market.

There are currently two really long threads regarding Sweeter Home in the Applications sub-forum. You can download Sweeter Homes from their website. You want the 'Android 2.0' version. (Follow the installation instructions just below the file links ... if you've never installed an app outside the Market before.)

The learning curve is there ... but the reward is great. :)
