Y'know, files for deleted progs and system files that are no longer needed. Even my iPhone got clogged up with junk occasionally and needed a reset. Is there an easy way to backup and restore leaving any rubbish behind or is it easy enough just unclean out what isn't needed?

Also, what's this email bug that takes up storage space?

    Ta.

If you backup then restore, chances are you'll simply restore any junk.

If that paranoid, best bet is wipe and start again.

The only junk you may want to, but certainly don't need to clean up is empty folders from uninstalled apps on your sdcard. But the only trouble they cause is a few extra folders when browsing your sdcard via a file manager

OK, thanks. That's reassuring at least.

What IS this email bug that I've seen mentioned though? Do emails not actually get deleted or something?
