I am looking for more photos of damage similar to this:
This was caused by having the phone in my pocket. I've heard from several other people that this pattern of damage is common and results from minor shock or compression. It seems like this phone has a defect that causes that area of the screen to be weak, but Rogers will not replace it for me. (Even though I've only had it for seven days and I purchased their evidently-useless warranty.)
I treat my stuff well, and it shouldn't break this easily. I am pretty angry that they won't replace it, and perhaps if I show them that other users have been having this exact problem, they will acknowledge it as a defect. I dunno. It's worth a try, at least.
