Root Does Cyanogen Mod undervolt the battery?

Discussion in 'Android Devices' started by IOwnGoogle, May 12, 2010.

  1. I read that undervolting can screw the phone up if you get low signal, and a live in an area with poor coverage.

But I was watching a video demo of Cyanogen and the guy said it came with a kernal that undervolts the battery.

Is that true? If so, can I install CM without undervolting?

Cyanogen's kernel that is included with his rom is undervolted, but it meets the qualcomm criteria; it is slightly undervolted (probably the best term used), but not heavily like the other unvervolted kernels available
