Does GPS need WiFi to operate properly?Support

    I thought my GPS was working properly, but then I tried it with WiFi turned off, and the position was nowhere near as accurate. Why is this?

    Was the GPS really on and "alone"? Try to see if your location can be reached using wireless networks. If so, uncheck and let on GPS checked.

    Actually it works, I wasn't giving it enough time to acquire satellites.

    The SGS takes forever to acquire a lock sometimes.
