I came across some information that raises questions.
    For example:

    Why the need for AIPAC?

US General Wesley Clarke stated that it seems AIPAC and Israel is pushing for the US to go to war with Iran?
"Shmuel Rosner, one of the U.S. Israel Lobby

I will presume that you did not watch the videos or read the links based on your reply. The US does NOT having a lobbying group that is like AIPAC. Your own General stated that you have a problem.

    The US does NOT.

This is indeed an Android forum. You, however, are posting to the politics and current affairs part of the forum. So, politics is allowed.

I disagree based on the FACTS as mentioned in the videos above.
Condelisa Rice was made to change her vote AGAINST her own proposal. WTF? She wrote it, supported it, and at the last minute changes her vote against it?

Also, the part about Bush stopping his speech and changing as instructed WHILE he was making the speech.

btw- there is video where President Reagan was told to wrap it up by the then president of Goldman Sachs. WTF?? The President is making a public televised speech and this guy steps in front of the mic and tells the President to wrap it up.

America went to Kuwait to block the Iraq incursion. They stepped in with tanks and troops BUT America does not seem so WILLING To even step up and ENFORCE what is written and agreed to since the 70's. I find that strange.

So what if Israel is wanting the USA to enter a war with Iran. Its no different than the US asking other countries to join them in waging war against Iraq? I am sure we get quite a few requests to help in a war against another country.

Anyways as stupid as our government can be at times. I am sure they are not that stupid as to wage war on Iran for no reason what so ever. I feel if we attacked Iran a lot of middle eastern countries would come to Iran's aid and then we have one huge cluster f***.

Could always use the excuse of WMD's. It worked once lol.

And how did that work out when the US went alone, BROKE and UNDER ATTACK at home. Your "friends" and allies have backed away from you and frankly would not trust you because they now pay the price for something that did not involve them.

Most people wont because they think criticizing the Government of Israel instantly makes them anti-semitic or a holocaust denier which obviously isn't true, and they do so because lobbies and groups like AIPAC have spent years trying to assert that as fact.

hmm, I thank you for the insight.
So let me get this straight.
A small "country" that the US gives BILLIONS in FREE money to is telling the US people how to act and what and when to say.
So is it to be assume from your suggestion that America is a PUPPET?

What would happen if America said, follow AGREED treaty or see you later?

Why is America in the middle of this?
This is an issue about AMERICAN SECURITY FIRST.

I don't think it's quite as simple as that, but they do exert a very large influence over the US, and do so from the large number of dual citizenship politicians dictating foreign policy.

    SOURCE
Israel would be screwed. Without the backing of the U.S they wouldn't get away with what they have been doing.
Like everything else, follow the money.
Has the foreign policy of the U.S made it a safer place?

Recently, in their much lauded paper, The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy, Harvard professor, Stephen Walt, and University of Chicago professor, John Mearsheimer, focused attention on the strong Israeli lobby which has a powerful influence over American foreign policies (see BBC article). They detail the influence that this lobby has exerted, forming a series of international policies which can be viewed as in direct opposition to the interests and security of the American people. These acts and policies are more often than not carried out by US government appointees who hold powerful positions and who are dual American-Israeli citizens. Since the policies they support are often exclusively beneficial to Israel, often to the detriment of America, it has been argued that their loyalties are misdirected.

WTF??? Seems clear to me that you don't even have control of your country.

Does Israel OWN the US Federal Reserve Bank?
Based on what is published, it seems the founders and ALL of it's Presidents/Chairmans are Israeli or as you pointed out US born but essentially citizens of Israel.

Apparently you and DroidUzr2 don't know much about the region. The Palestinians are decendents of and related to the Bedouin people. The Bedouin people have been fighting each other and anyone else in their midst for thousands of years. Fighting and killing each other is what they do... what they've done... and likely what they'll always do. This is part of their culture!

Many, but not all, of the regional policies adopted by the Israeli government were done so for self preservation. If they don't adopt the same tactics that the Bedouin's use then they can't effectively defend themselves from the Bedouins.

In another thread you commented that you disagreed with what the IRA had done in Ireland. Well this isn't all that different from the fighting between the Catholics and Prodestants in Ireland. Or apartheid in South Africa... or the fighting between the North and South Koreans...

In the case of the Palestinians, however, they were fortunate to have a spokesman who was charismatic enough that he could lie through his teeth and still sell his pile of camel droppings to the world. That man went by the name Yasser Arafat. Did you know that Arafat was a billionare? That's pretty impressive in a nation where poverty was rampant.

Really, I thought the Jews and the Palestinians were doing just fine until someone thought it would be a good idea to create a state of Israel, that wasn't to be created until their messiah returned, and then began to treat the Palestinians not too differently to how the Jews themselves had been treat in Europe. It's funny how those who turned the Jews away when they fled Europe are now in their pocket so to speak.

"There must not be one law for the Jew and another for the Arabs....In saying this, I do not assume that there are tendencies toward inequality or discrimination. It is merely a timely warning which is particularly necessary because we shall have a very large Arab minority. I am certain that the world will judge the Jewish State by what it will do with the Arabs, just as the Jewish people at large will be judged by what we do or fail to do in this state where we have been given such a wonderful opportunity after thousands of years of wandering and suffering."

Here are a few more quotes for your collection:

"It's always convenient for certain people to heap accusations on Israel. "

"Our law is a Jordanian law that we inherited, which applies to both the West Bank and Gaza, and sets the death penalty for those who sell land to Israelis."

"Peace for us means the destruction of Israel. We are preparing for an all-out war, a war which will last for generations."

"We plan to eliminate the state of Israel and establish a purely Palestinian state. We will make life unbearable for Jews by psychological warfare and population explosion. We Palestinians will take over everything, including all of Jerusalem."

"We will not bend or fail until the blood of every last Jew from the youngest child to the oldest elder is spilt to redeem our land!"

"Whoever thinks of stopping the uprising before it achieves its goals, I will give him ten bullets in the chest."

"Whoever stands by a just cause cannot possibly be called a terrorist"

All of the above quotes were attributed to Yasser Arafat
    Yasser Arafat Quotes

"If they (Jews) all gather in Israel, it will save us the trouble of going after them worldwide." -- Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary-General of the Hezbollah

"Martyrdom operations - suicide bombings - should be exported outside Palestine. I encourage Palestinians to take suicide bombings worldwide. Don't be shy about it."
    -- Hassan Nasrallah

"Islam is a revolutionary faith that comes to destroy any government made by man. Islam doesn't look for a nation to be in better condition than another nation. Islam doesn't care about the land or who own the land. The goal of Islam is to rule the entire world and submit all of mankind to the faith of Islam. Any nation or power in this world that tries to get in the way of that goal, Islam will fight and destroy."
-- Mawlana Abul Ala Mawdudi, founder of Pakistan's Fundamentalist Movement

"Our thanks go to the late Hitler who wrought, in advance, the vengeance of the Palestinians upon the most despicable villains on the face of the earth. However, we rebuke Hitler for the fact that the vengeance was insufficient."
    -- al-Akhbar, Egypt's second largest newspaper

Isn't it nice to see that the middle east is populated with so many peace loving people?? *heavy sarcasm*

    I believe you mean PPS.

    Also, you're wrong.

Do you understand what a floating currency means? It means that the value of the currency is subject to fluctuation due to...well, being traded on the international market.

That means they don't control the value of their currency. No more than any country that doesn't have the value of their currency pegged does.

Thanks, but I think we are all aware of the atrocities caused in the name of Islam, but people are clearly in denial about the atrocities caused by the Government of Israel.

The Zionist armies that now occupy Palestine claim their ancient Jewish prophets predicted that in the "last days of this world" their own God would raise them up a "messiah" who would lead them to their promised land, and they would set up their own "divine" government in this newly-gained land, this "divine" government would enable them to "rule all other nations with a rod of iron."

If the Israeli Zionists believe their present occupation of Arab Palestine is the fulfillment of predictions made by their Jewish prophets, then they also religiously believe that Israel must fulfill its "divine" mission to rule all other nations with a rod of irons, which only means a different form of iron-like rule, more firmly entrenched even, than that of the former European Colonial Powers.

These Israeli Zionists religiously believe their Jewish God has chosen them to replace the outdated European colonialism with a new form of colonialism, so well disguised that it will enable them to deceive the African masses into submitting willingly to their "divine" authority and guidance, without the African masses being aware that they are still colonized.

The Israeli Zionists are convinced they have successfully camouflaged their new kind of colonialism. Their colonialism appears to be more "benevolent," more "philanthropic," a system with which they rule simply by getting their potential victims to accept their friendly offers of economic "aid," and other tempting gifts, that they dangle in front of the newly-independent African nations, whose economies are experiencing great difficulties. During the 19th century, when the masses here in Africa were largely illiterate it was easy for European imperialists to rule them with "force and fear," but in this present era of enlightenment the African masses are awakening, and it is impossible to hold them in check now with the antiquated methods of the 19th century.

The imperialists, therefore, have been compelled to devise new methods. Since they can no longer force or frighten the masses into submission, they must devise modern methods that will enable them to manouevre the African masses into willing submission.

The modern 20th century weapon of neo-imperialism is "dollarism." The Zionists have mastered the science of dollarism: the ability to come posing as a friend and benefactor, bearing gifts and all other forms of economic aid and offers of technical assistance. Thus, the power and influence of Zionist Israel in many of the newly "independent" African nations has fast-become even more unshakeable than that of the 18th century European colonialists... and this new kind of Zionist colonialism differs only in form and method, but never in motive or objective.

At the close of the 19th century when European imperialists wisely foresaw that the awakening masses of Africa would not submit to their old method of ruling through force and fears, these ever-scheming imperialists had to create a "new weapon," and to find a "new base" for that weapon.

The number one weapon of 20th century imperialism is zionist dollarism, and one of the main bases for this weapon is Zionist Israel. The ever-scheming European imperialists wisely placed Israel where she could geographically divide the Arab world, infiltrate and sow the seed of dissension among African leaders and also divide the Africans against the Asians.

Zionist Israel's occupation of Arab Palestine has forced the Arab world to waste billions of precious dollars on armaments, making it impossible for these newly independent Arab nations to concentrate on strengthening the economies of their countries and elevate the living standard of their people.

And the continued low standard of living in the Arab world has been skillfully used by the Zionist propagandists to make it appear to the Africans that the Arab leaders are not intellectually or technically qualified to lift the living standard of their people ... thus, indirectly "enducing" Africans to turn away from the Arabs and towards the Israelis for teachers and technical assistance.

"They cripple the bird's wing, and then condemn it for not flying as fast as they."

The imperialists always make themselves look good, but it is only because they are competing against economically crippled newly independent countries whose economies are actually crippled by the Zionist-capitalist conspiracy. They can't stand against fair competition, thus they dread Gamal Abdul Nasser's call for African-Arab Unity under Socialism.

If the "religious" claim of the Zionists is true that they were to be led to the promised land by their messiah, and Israel's present occupation of Arab Palestine is the fulfillment of that prophesy: where is their messiah whom their prophets said would get the credit for leading them there? It was Ralph Bunche who "negotiated" the Zionists into possession of Occupied Palestine! Is Ralph Bunche the messiah of Zionism? If Ralph Bunche is not their messiah, and their messsiah has not yet come, then what are they doing in Palestine ahead of their messiah?

Did the Zionists have the legal or moral right to invade Arab Palestine, uproot its Arab citizens from their homes and seize all Arab property for themselves just based on the "religious" claim that their forefathers lived there thousands of years ago? Only a thousand years ago the Moors lived in Spain. Would this give the Moors of today the legal and moral right to invade the Iberian Peninsula, drive out its Spanish citizens, and then set up a new Moroccan nation ... where Spain used to be, as the European zionists have done to our Arab brothers and sisters in Palestine?...

In short the Zionist argument to justify Israel's present occupation of Arab Palestine has no intelligent or legal basis in history ... not even in their own religion. Where is their Messiah?

    - Malcolm X

What he said in 64 still applies today. Zionism is not Judaism

"Jewish villages were built in the place of Arab villages. You do not even know the names of these Arab villages, and I do not blame you because geography books no longer exist. Not only do the books not exist, the Arab villages are not there either. Nahlal arose in the place of Mahlul; Kibbutz Gvat in the place of Jibta; Kibbutz Sarid in the place of Huneifis; and Kefar Yehushua in the place of Tal al-Shuman. There is not a single place built in this country that did not have a former Arab population."

    - Moshe Dayan

And some people wonder why they might be a little annoyed. If the same was done in the U.S or the U.K but the state created was a Muslim one, and year on year they started taking more and more land by military force, we'd do the exact same as the Palestinians, fight back.
