Does my phone need a protective case

Hi,

I bought my Galaxy s3 a week ago and dropped it on a hard floor last night!

Gave me a fright (it is insured, but even so) but no damage.

So my thoughts are now on protective cases.

One side of the phone is still totally exposed except for the screen protector.

So do they really help much?

Yes, it does. When I drop my phone, I have no worries. (Unless its in water.) But, really though, it would cost you alot more to replace the phone if it gets broke or damaged from a fall.

I wish that's what I'd paid for my phone. I didn't buy it in the States and paid almost double.

I wasn't being cheap but really wondering if they help much.

Samsung must have taken into a account that the phone will get some knocks and they went to a huge amount of trouble to make the phone as slim as possible.

Anyway, I will got and check out some cases.

Well this should give you a laugh!

Before I went out to the store to get a case, I checked my phone, only to find out that it already has a transparent protective one.

A gift from either Orange or Samsung. Something for the extra bucks that I paid, perhaps.

I hadn't used a Galaxy before and the only one that I'd handled was my new one, so I had no idea what it was like without the case.

Yeah dude get a case.
1.Theres a bunch of designs for protective cases.so your phone can be a bit more personalized with a case.
2.The sg3 is expensive. I would get a case just for that fact.
