Help Don't know what I clicked on.

I was doing something with kindle, and I was trying to go into airplane mode, and some box had appeared as I was trying to click on the box that pops up to go into airplane mode, in the same place as the airplane mode box. What did I click on?

Also, is there any way to get rid of that stupid airplane mode box? I mean, why can't I just click on the stupid airplane and be sent directly to airplane mode? Why the stupid box?
