I know that 2.2 comes with Flash Player 10.1 already embedded, and I have had success in playing internet-embedded movies / iPlayer through this. But last week I saw Flash Player 10.1 available as an update in Market so I downloaded that too on a "just in case" basis. Did I need to do this? Have I just basically doubled up on the same thing? It's taking up about 12Mb of phone memory so I'd quite like to uninstall the update if it's not doing anything worthwhile...

    Any thoughts? Cheers!

Did the same thing for me and I dumped it after an hour!!

all vids on the web work with what I had before so I don't see the point.

It's an update due to security issues that can be exploited, it's worth updating to stop the risk

Good question.... Dumb as this sounds, I'm inclined to can the upgrade unless or until the security problem is highlighted as a clear and present danger. A 12Mb patch is a bit of a piss-take.
