Downloaded music=worse battery life?Support

A few days ago, I decided to download my entire library of music that was stored on Google Music (About 7 gbs now stored on my phone). Ever since, I've been getting terrible battery life. Does having more stuff stored on my GNex adversely affect the battery? Has anyone else noticed this as well?

note: i have not been listening to more music lately due to it being downloaded.

I wouldn't think so but I could be wrong. Seems like on-board storage would use less battery cause you could do it without the radios being on but i could be totally off on this.

Under accounts and sync do you have google music checked? If you do, I think the phone will constantly (at least daily if not more) be comparing the music stored on your phone with that in the cloud. I would keep that unchecked and not sync again until you've added some new music, then turn it on to sync once and then back off.

Secondly, make sure that in the google music app you have selected "offline music only".
