    Hi Guys..
I have scearched the internet hi and lo, and ended up in here..

Im looking for a download of the android 1.5 cupcake that i can installe on my HTC touch diamond.

The only download i can find is the cupcake SDK and NDK on the officiel andriod site. But that is only for DEV, right??

If the OS is free why is it that hard to find???

Also, cupcake is surposed to be able to run on a x86 so can anyone help me with guidence with that also?

Sorry if this is a DB post. But I could find anything in the search-

    Hi..

As I understand, Android is made to run on "smartphones" and do not reqiuer the phone to be "made" for android.
And I did once mannage to finde a android 1.0 version and run it on my Diamond. It did not have screen keyboard and did performe rather slow and laggy. But it ran non the less.

But it ecapes me that Android is free, but finding an install for either mobil og Laptop running on x86 is impossible.

The point of free is that Google is offering an OS free to Phone Manufacturers ... these OS may/will need customization based on the particular hardware ... and will not be portable in whole from one platform to another ... Many of the top phone manufacturer in the world have joined the Handset Alliance ... but this doesnt mean that any OS for a particular phone will work on another platform ...

ok Mobile is kinda funky because android has to be "slightly" tweaked for each individual piece of hardware AKA phone... so im sure there are versions for your specific phone floating around however if your just looking for the OTA release or rooted builds you can get them here : Android Build Downloads

As far as for your laptop thats an easy one go here: live-android - Google Code
