    Hi,

I'm new to both these forums and Android so please go easy on me.

I have tried to download ringtones from a few different sources in the Android market and they work fine for a while, but as soon as I turn my phone off they seem to get lost. Am I doing something wrong?

    Thanks in advance,
    Freda

it would help if you told us what phone you have, what android version, your carrier, exactly what you search when you look for ringtones...

I have a Sony Ericsson X10, Android 1.6, carrier is Rogers wireless. I don't search for ringtones at all, but occassionally come across them when browsing the market.

Have you tried putting your own ringtones on the phone and see what happens?

Save a short audio file to SD card, set as ringtone. Then restart your phone and let us know.
