My android phone is locked in the on position. I can't even turn the phone off.

My phone is frozen in the on position. It wil not turn off. Pressing simultaneously the on and home buttons does nothing. I need help!

Hello john. Welcome to Android Forms. If all else fails... pull the battery out. My Blackberry of years past had a bad habit of freezing up like that. Pulling the battery would fix it but... anything you were in the middle of will be lost. You might want to check in with the other users of your phone prior to a battery pull. Here is a link to the phone areas here at AF. Just find your phone and give it a click. You will then be in the area where your phone is supported by other owners of your phone. They know it well and can best assist you.
