Droid 2 shutting down

I have had my Droid 2 for about a month. In the middle of doing stuff ( reading texts, playing games, playing game) the phone shuts off and I have to push button to turn back on. Any ideas on what's happening and how to fix?

It could be a flakey Android ROM installed on the phone that's causing the random shutdowns. It could also be a mis-behaving app. You might want to backup any data you have on the phone and do a factory reset. This will re-install Android and bring it back to a factory fresh state. If it seems stable then slowly re-add your apps to make sure one of them isn't contributing to the problem.
