Is there an app for the droid eris that allows one to point the camera at a landscape and have identifying information about the various features such as mountains, etc., appear as an overlay? Thanks for any help.

google googles is the only thing that comes to mind. you need to have 2.1 on your eris though to run google googles.

true, that's what came to my mind. i saw a video somewhere of these guys devolving some app to show how far away something is from you and other cool features but forget what it was called or if it's even out yet. i think it was google making it or something.

Google Goggles will work great with REALLY famous sites, I would think mountain ranges wouldn't work so hot though.

I don't need my phone to tell me a mountain from a river.... but that's amazing that there's an app for that. lol
