I bit on this deal earlier this morning. May 11-12th seems so far away. :-(

I have to cancel my bestbuy preorder. Honestly, if there was a way I could get it from them today for $150, I'd probably be walking out of the store with one just to be done with the waiting...

Sweet price, too bad the earliest you can get it is May 11th from Amazon. I was just about to head out to my local BB and see if they have one. If not, my local verizon store has one set aside for me.

Man, touch choice. Get it today at BB or verizon or wait approx two weeks and save $100. Tempting to wait and let others do the initial bug testing. :)

edit: just ordered from Amazon. The wait will be tough, the $100 for doing it will help when I buy the extended battery.

Good find but as sad as this sounds, 2 weeks is not worth $100 for me at this point - plus they could be waiting for returns and selling the refurbs.

I spoke with Amazon customer support at 7 this morning. They are waiting for an order directly from HTC. Amazon always seems to be an excellent company so I wouldnt think they'd sell refurb phones as new. The reason for the 9-10 day delay is that's how long it'll take HTC to get the shipment to them.

I also think Amazon likes to set meet-able expectations with orders and then beat them to leave a positive impression on the customer. I ordered a Harmony One remote once that ships in "1-2 months" and I got it within a week. It sounds like there will be waiting, but this estimate may possibly be padded?

Sadly there's still a chance I may buy the phone at Best Buy but I think Im going to be sensible and wait. Being sensible sucks :-/

Does it give you the option to port your number? I went through most of the checkout process and never saw this option.

I also saw no way to customize your plan - it was all packages..

    Am I wrong?

Try doing 900 minutes and 500 txts.

There system is still kind of new with phones, but I hear it's great. I'm sure there customer service can help you out if you can't find what you looking for directly through the options listed.

I am so pissed about this. I use amazon for everything, had they posted this two weeks ago I would have waited for them.

Has anyone had experience with ordering from Amazon or Wirefly? What happens if you have issues with the phone? Will the VZW Corp stores tell you to go away? I called VZW last night with this question, but the rep couldn't give me a straight answer.

I got a BB bold (AT&T) through Amazon last year and was able to directly deal with AT&T on a phone hardware issue with no questions asked. As I understand it, you should be able to work directly through Verizon without any problem.

Amazon is letting me buy the Inc for 200 bucks for an existing family share line that isn't up for a NE2 for a long time.....

I walked in to my local Verizon store this morning and walked out with a Dinc for $199 - $100 mail in rebate. I don't know how that happened. I could have been because we added a line to my wife's contract. They didn't give me a 2gig memory card but they gave me $20 off a 4gig memory card so it only cost me $10. You might want to check your local Verizon store.

I'm currently with AT&T, but my contract expired a couple months ago. I was thinking of getting two "unlocked" AT&T Nexus Ones and staying with the same network... But since I'd have to get two phones it would cost me over $1,060 plus taxes for the phones. The Incredible for $99 from Amazon and also for $99 at Best Buy sounds like a very good deal. I guess the ETFs in Amazon and Best Buy will be the same as those when ordering the phone directly from Verizon ($350). Btw, can anyone tell me if the termination fee is pro-rated?

I currently have a family plan with 700 Nation Wide minutes that I share with my wife. My phone costs me $60 for talk + $35 for unlimited data with 200 text messages. My wife phone with this family plan costs me $9.99 talk + $35 for the data and text. Total monthly fee $140 before fees and taxes. The family plan gives me rollover minutes, unlimited Nights & W/E and unlimited (in network) mobile to mobile minutes. The 700 minutes and the 200 texts are more than enough given the we don't use these phones for business. If I switch to Verizon, which plans approximates the talk, text and data plan that I currently have?

I like having the freedom of not being under contract, but the cost of getting a new unsubsidized state-of-the art Smartphone that I like is very high. Going back to your provider for a contract that will save you money because you already have a phone does not exist. The other issue is that even with an "unlocked" device in the US one does not have "real" freedom to move from one wireless provider to another unless you sell the phone. An AT&T unlocked N1 does not work in Verizon (CDMA vs GSM) and it's crippled with t-mobile and other providers because 3G is deployed in different bands. My fear is that if I switch to Verizon to save a couple bucks on the device that I would be in the hole for the "full" $700 ETF. After a few months I might be unhappy with the service or I might find that it costs me more money than it if I had stayed with AT&T using an unlocked phone. Any thoughts?

ETF is $350 for 2 years, minus $10 per month of paid contract

Even if you can't port directly with amazon your good, I couldn't get my # ported at walmart so I just called vzw later and they did it for me.

There is a 700 minute family plan for 59.99 I think (might be less) and you can add 200 texts for 5 bucks. Data plans are 29.99 per phone and extra lines are 9.99 so your looking at 135 before tax/fees.

So in the Amazon page I'd have to pick the "Verizon Wireless Nationwide Talk Family Share 700 (Unlimited IN Calling & Nights and Weekend)" then add the $5 text and $29.99 data to each phone?... Btw, I'm assuming the it is "unlimited" data for the $29.99... no restrictions... right?

Amazon.com changed their pricing on the Incredible. Currently $149 for new lines and $249 for upgrades on existing lines. The good news is that you can now order upgrades (which was not working initially) - but the price is higher than ordering direct from Verizon.

I hope Amazon Wireless lowers the upgrade pricing back to $99.99.

Price change yet again for upgrades - now $199.99 at Amazon.com.
