Droid Smileys

This is a silly question, but I noticed that when I type certain emoticons I get an Android smiley. Is there a list somewhere of them?

Also, in the keyboard on page 2 of the number pad, there are several smiley shortcuts. Ironically those don't produce the little Android guy, they're missing the '-' for the nose. If I type : and then ) I just get , but if I stick a - in between I get the Android. Any way to either modify the keyboard or the smileys?
