Droid vs Devour?

They look almost identical. Which one is the better buy?

Well, I would go with the droid. Yes, I own a droid but that's not why. The devour looks like a "sidekick" which for me is a negative but here is the big ?

The devour will come with android 1.6 not 2.0+ which makes me wonder what kind of "old school" processor they are putting in this. I think it will be a "poor man's droid" that they are dressing up with motoblur.

The droid works well, will have more support than the devour (I'm guessing), but I haven't done a lot of research on it.

I already have the nexus one.. paid full price, but I am not liking tmobile.. I may go back to verizon and ebay the nexus

Looks like a different processor but both running @ 600MHz. Why the 1.6 Android software??? It looks like it will be $99 w/ contract

Well, if the Devour comes with Megan Fox, I'm switching immediately.

But it probably does not, so I'll stick with my Droid. Plus I don't want MotoBlur.

No details on the processor probably means it's not something you'd want to publicly announce, and at that price point I'd assume it to be Eris speed or worse. Plus, from the rendering (or was it an actual picture) that I saw a little while back, the thing was sort of ugly.

Also, MotoBlur is terrible and intrusive, IMO.

Same, but 1.6 + no megan fox is a deal breaker.... That or the fact im happy with my droid...

I never bought a sidekick but I was with T-Mobile so I read up on a thing or two. You remember how the screen always 'flipped' out on the sidekicks? Most sidekicks were made by Sharp (if memory serves).

T-Mobile released a 'slide' version that was made by Motorola...very similar looking IMO.

The Devour has one advantage over the Droid. That advantage is flash. I wish we had that.
