Ok, so I'm having no luck finding a simple solution here!

I'm running leak 2.3.9 on my unrooted Droid X.

I used a simple update.zip file which I copied on to my SD card.
Then I pressed Power & Home keys together, then Search key to get to Bootloader.
Then Vol down to select update.zip.
Then Camera button to start install .... EASY!

Now, I just want to be able to do the same to get the 2.3.15 update.
Is there not a simple update.zip file I can use, instead of having to use RSD Lite to flash back back to 2.1sbf then 2.2 OTA?

I cannot get RSD Lite to recognize the sbf file properties or even see my phone. Spend hours going round in circles! And I do not have another PC to try it on. My Win 7 Ultimate 64 is all I've got.

    Thank you

I read this post earlier but the thread is locked, so I could not ask questions:

    New Froyo 2.3.15!!!

    download Link

    directions for install

    Quote:
    1) Restart phone via Koush bootstrap into Recovery Mode
    2) Wipe Data
    3) Wipe Cache
    4) Select Mounts and Storage
    5) Select Format System (ONLY DO THIS IF IT FAILS TO INSTALL THE FIRST TIME)
    6) Select Mount System
    7) Back out by pressing Power button
    8) Select Install zip from sdcard
    9) Select choose zip from sdcard
    10) find and select this zip file
    11) First Boot may take up to 5 minutes

    SO, what is Kouch Bootstrap?

    Thanks

Its the app that flashes the recovery image you need. You can get it here,

My Brain Hurts: Droid X Recovery (and Droid 2 too!)

Make sure you read the Q & A also. It explains a lot! You can install it like any other apk.
