Help Droid X Factory Reset Questions

I'm thinking about performing a factory reset on my Droid X, in hopes that it will improve my battery life. When I first got my DX, I would get 24 hrs. + from a single charge. Now, I'm lucky if I get 12 hrs., with similar usage (moderate).

My questions are:

1. Will a factory reset help my battery life?
2. Will I be able to get Gingerbread back on my DX once I reset (originally ran Froyo, prior to OTA update).

Any advice would be appreciated.

1. Might...might not...chances are a factory reset is not needed for this...it's probably an app or a combination of apps causing athe problem...

A factory reset will probably only help because you will be removing ALL your apps and therefore removing what is causing an issue...

2. Yes it will be easy to get GingerBlur back

Thanks for the info. Any suggestions how I find out what app(s) is/are causing my battery issues? I often check my battery usage details, as well as my running applications/processes, and I can't find anything that seems to be the culprit.

Right now, my battery is somewhere between 20% and 30% of it's charge, after 8hrs., 18 min. off the charger. Battery usage details look like this:

Display - 28%
Voice Calls - 24% (13 min.)
Phone Idle - 11%
Cell Standby - 10%
GO Launcher EX - 5%
Android System - 4%
Mediaserver - 3%
Maps - 3%
Media - 2%
Beautiful Widgets - 2%

Given the details above, I really can't figure out what is killing my battery (other than the display, which I get). Any ideas?
